Law of Definite Composition
This law states that the elements in a given compound are always combined in the same proportion by mass. This law form the basis for the definition of a chemical compound.
Law of Multiple Proportions
This law states that when two elements can combine to form more than one compound the amounts of one of them that combines with a fixed amount of the other will exhibit a simple multiple relation.
